{Interiors} Inspiration: Glamorous Office Spaces

-all images via Pinterest-

Who doesn't want an office space that is chic and glamorous? A space to work should inspire and helps get the creative juices flowing. Nothing drab or boring that feels like you're stuck in a cubicle, but an open, clean space that allows you to feel free and relaxed while you work.

What would be in your ideal office space?

{Beauty} Wet n Wild Color Icon Blushes have amazing pigmentation!

Wet n Wild really does offer great products at even better prices. The powder blushes are an awesome product and I was finally able to get my hands on all four of them. Every store I went to always seemed to be sold out of two of the colors. These blushes are incredibly pigmented and a little goes a very long way. I purchased the Wet n Wild Color Icon blushes in Berry Shimmer, Heather Silk, Mellow Wine and Pearlescent Pink (as shown in order above and below).

I prefer applying these blushes with the Real Techniques blush brush since it blends the color onto my cheeks effortlessly. The quality is a bit different than say something on the higher end such as NARS- a lot more fallout and can be a little chalky. But I find with the right brush and a light hand they apply beautifully. Plus at $2.99 each, you really can't go wrong.

Berry Shimmer
This is the darkest of all four colors and really gives the most pigmentation. You have to use this shade with a VERY light hand as it can go on a little strong. But once blended out it leaves a beautiful rosy color on the cheeks.

Heather Silk
This is the only matte color out of the four and reminds me of a few MAC blushes. This is also very pigmented and should be used with a light hand. The matte rose color would look great on just about every skin tone.

Mellow Wine
This was the first color I purchased and I loved it so much I had to try out every color. Mellow Wine gives a great mauve hue to the cheeks and works with an makeup look. I especially like pairing this with a brown smokey eye.

Pearlescent Pink
This is hands down my favorite blush out of the four. You could say it is slightly similar to NARS Deep Throat but even lighter. It has a perfect sheen to it. Pearlescent Pink looks great on those days when I wear lighter, natural eye makeup.

Swatched (heavily) from left to right: Berry Shimmer, Heather Silk, Mellow Wine, Pearlescent Pink.

If you haven't tried the Wet n Wild Color Icon Blushes I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try. You really can't beat the quality for the price. I use these quite a bit and they're great for traveling since they're so inexpensive!

You can purchase Wet n Wild Color Icon Blushes at CVS, Walmart, Walgreens or online here.

{Style Files} Flannel, Beanie and Booties kind of day

Ever have one of those days where you want to be really comfy without looking frumpy? This is the perfect combo without looking over done. A cozy flannel, slouchy beanie, dark skinnies and black high heel booties make this a great outfit for day to night without looking like you just rolled out of bed. Finish everything off with some gold bling, diamond studs, chic black bag and some aviators and you're set for whatever you have planned for the day.

This is even great for those bad hair days! A great way to dress up a beanie.

{Beauty} February 2013 Monthly Favorites

Blush Palette: I purchased this palette on eBay for like $8 and it is awesome. I've been using it almost every day this month. The colors aren't SUPER pigmented but I actually like it that way because it's easier to apply the blush without worrying about over doing it and looking like a clown. I love every color in this palette.

NYC Sunny Bronzer: This is a great everyday bronzer for winter because it isn't too dark or too orange-y and works great with my current pale skin tone. Plus it's only $4. Can't go wrong with that.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation: I don't know why it took me so long to try out this foundation. It's amazing. I prefer this over my usual MAC Studio Fix Fluid and it's a whole lot easier on the wallet. Provides great coverage and lasts all day. What more could you ask for in a foundation?

Maybelline Rocket Mascara: This is the closet match I have ever found to my holy grail mascara Cover Girl Lash Blast. It gives great volume and length without getting clumpy. I've been using this all month and loving it.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlight Powder: I love highlight powders and this is just another great powder that I've recently added to my collection. I purchased it on Haute Look last month and have been using it every day since it arrived. Leaves a gorgeous glow on my upper cheekbones.

Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette: This palette is no stranger to me but I ran out last summer and never bothered to replace it. I finally picked another one up and my love for it has been reconnected. This is a seriously great concealer palette. I use all the shades and even the setting powder.

Maybelline Eye Studio 24/7 Black Gel Eyeliner: I never steer away from my trusty MAC Blacktrack Fluidline, but this eyeliner is pretty good. I mean, almost better than Fluidline good. Gives a matte and opaque black color and never budges on me- great lasting powder. And it's much less than the MAC version.

Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion: I love this self tanner! It's literally fool proof. I purchased it in the Deep Dark Color because I always prefer a darker tan. I just apply this with my hands as if I were applying lotion and it absorbs quickly, is streak-free and doesn't smell horrific like most self-tanners do. This is easily my new favorite self tanner. I highly recommend it.

{Beauty} Khroma Beauty Lashes offer natural looking length!

After passing by the new Kardashian Khroma Beauty line several times at Ulta and CVS, I finally decided to just give in and try out one of the lashes. Although I have naturally long lashes, every now and then for a special occasion I like to amp up my makeup with some false lashes. I don't like anything too full or long since it only weighs down my natural lashes and just doesn't look right.

But these are perfect for adding a little extra something. I purchased the "Blink" pair and it provided just enough extra length and volume to make my eyes stand out without overpowering my natural lashes.

They just happened to be the perfect length for me so I didn't even need to trim them. They applied easily when used with the Duo lash adhesive. I always use the darker adhesive so it blends well with my usual black eyeliner. They are very light weight so I never found them to be irritating and I wore them all day. They blended very well with my natural lashes and not once did anyone ask if I was wearing false lashes, which actually happens to me almost on a daily basis when I'm not even wearing any!

Here you can see how natural the "Blink" lashes look. The band was almost invisible and blended perfectly with my lash line.

Here is the full look wearing the Khroma Beauty lashes:

Eyes: MAC eyeshadows in Vanilla, Nylon, Soft Brown, Mulch and Cork; MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, NYX Eyeliner Pencil in White and Auburn; Cover Girl Lash Blast and Maybelline Colossal mascara;  and Khroma Beauty "Blink" Lashes.
Face: L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation, Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, Too Faced Chocolatr Soleil bronzer, MAC Well Dressed blush,  and MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish.
Brows: e.l.f. Coffee Cream Eyeliner, e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Gel, Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette
Lips: MAC Lovelorn Lipstick

You can find the Khroma Beauty "Blink" faux lashes at CVS, Ulta or here online. I purchased the lashes for around $6 but pricing will differ depending on the store. Now I'm dying to try out the other lashes!

Have you tried anything from the Khroma Beauty line?

{Good Eats} Healthy Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas

I've been making a serious attempt to better my culinary skills. I'm not one you'd usually ever find in the kitchen but after learning how much healthier and budget-friendly it is to cook at home, I'm thinking it's finally time to put all those Pinterest recipes to good use!

This recipe is super easy and you can make it incredibly healthy. I used some ingredients that may not be organic or clean eating but you can easily use healthier substitutes. There are just some things I can't give up in taste. But I still used as many organic/healthy ingredients as I could.

Here's what you'll need:

2 Organic Skinless Chicken Breasts
Las Palmas Green Chile Enchilada Sauce
(could make it from scratch- use healthier ingredients, but the can is much more time friendly)
Taco Seasoning
(for healthier substitute, use sea salt and cumin powder for flavor)
Reduced Fat 4 Cheese Mexican Blend
Flour Tortillas
(use wheat or multigrain tortillas for healthier alternative)
Olive Oil
1/2 of Organic Onion
1 Organic Red Bell Pepper
3 Organic Green Onions
1 Organic Cilantro Bushel

Let's get started!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a small pan, saute 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the chopped onion and bell pepper. In a separate pan, heat up 2 tablespoons of olive oil and cook chicken breasts.  Add Taco Seasoning and cilantro (or sea salt and cumin powder alternative) with chicken and let cook until finished.

After chicken is completely cooked, place on cutting board and pull apart with two forks to shred. When the chicken is shredded, mix it in with the sauteed onions and peppers.

Add shredded chicken mixture into each tortilla, roll up and place in large baking dish. Make sure the fold is facing the bottom of the dish. Cover rolled tortillas with green chile enchilada sauce and sprinkle mexican blend cheese on top. Cover dish with foil and place in oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes.

Once cooked, remove from oven and sprinkle green onions, cilantro and more cheese on top to garnish.

Heat up the All Natural Farmhouse Spanish Rice and Organic Refried Black Beans to serve with the enchiladas for a complete healthy mexican meal.

Mmm Mmm good!

{Beauty} Wet n Wild's New Coverall Foundation Gives Great Coverage!

Wet n Wild is one of those brands that you'd think you shouldn't expect much from since it is so inexpensive, but I have to admit I am always impressed with the products they put out. And their new Coverall Cream Foundation is no exception to their streak of great products. I had to give it a try when I read that it is a medium to full coverage because, let's face it... good coverage in drugstore foundations is hard to find. But I am overwhelmingly impressed with this foundation.

I purchased the Coverall Cream Foundation in 818 Light/Medium since I like a little extra color to my face. As you can see on the back, it states it has all day wear, medium to full coverage, lightweight satin matte finish, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and rejuvenates the skin. It does have excellent lasting power, but I also use a primer and a setting powder to ensure it stays all day. Some foundations, such as the Revlon Color Stay, actually wear off on my upper cheeks where my freckles are. And that's where I prefer fuller coverage so that fact that this lasted on me all day is impressive.

It says it is a satin matte finish but I would say it's more of a flat matte color. Which isn't bad since I light to use bronzer and highlighters anyway. I can't say whether it reduces the appearance of wrinkles since I really don't have any but it does leave a nice finish on my skin. Even with a setting powder it never really looks "cakey".

The product is in a squeeze bottle which I actually really like because it is easy to control the amount of product you squeeze out. Not a bad size either since it contains about 1 fl. oz. and you really don't need to use a lot because of the fuller coverage.

Here you can see the foundation swatched (on the right) and blended in (on the left).

Here is a closeup of my face with the foundation in 818 Light/Medium. I set it with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Plus and am wearing Wet n Wild Blush in Berry Shimmer and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle for a highlight powder.

Here you can see a full face of the foundation. Leaves a nice matte finish and is actually full coverage without looking "cakey". It even covers up my freckles! That's how I know it is a winning foundation. If it lasts all day and covers my freckles then I'm sold.

You can purchase the Wet n Wild Coverall Cream foundation at any CVS, Walgreens or Walmart location. Or click here to purchase it online. And the best part...it's under $10! Now that's a bargain.

Have you tried this foundation? Any thoughts?

{Beauty} On the Shopping List for February...

I've been on a serious concealer kick lately. I just can't seem to find my holy grail product. I've tried tons from drugstore to high end and yet I'm still not thrilled with the concealers in my makeup collection. I've heard great things about the new NYX Full Coverage Concealer and the L'Oreal True Match Concealer Crayon. The L'Oreal Magic Lumi Highlighting Pen has had great reviews as well.

I finally used up all of my Clinique moisturizer so I'm ready to try something new. Dr. Oz actually said that the St. Ives Timeless Skin Moisturizer is the only moisturizer/wrinkle cream you will ever need. And it's under $10! Now I just need to find it! I also need a heavier moisturizer at night and I've been dying to try out the Mario Badescu Caviar Night Cream.

Have you seen the Too Faced Sweetheart Blush swatched? It's gorgeous! I have to get my hands on this blush. And the L'Oreal Magic Lumi primer is perfect for creating an illuminating canvas.

The last thing on my last is a pricey one but after trying tons of different curling irons and never getting the results I'm looking for, I finally found a curling wand that does exactly what I want it to. The Nume 3 in One Curling Wand is perfect for loose everyday waves and you can get $110 off using coupon code: casey4nume!
