{Tag} What's In My Bag

Chanel handbag
My absolute favorite bag. The softest lambskin; feels like butter and holds just about everything. Seriously, it surprises me how much can fit in here. This bag truly is my pride and joy.

Tiffany & Co. Victoria Cat Eye Sunglasses
I love these! They are very glamorous with the Austrian crystals on the side and have that perfect vintage cat eye. These are my newest addition to my sunnies collection.

Tiffany & Co. Envelope Card Case and Tiffany & Co. 2011 Mini Planner
This little card case is great. I stopped carrying a wallet because I found it to be too heavy and bulky and this card case holds all my cards and cash and fits right inside the side pocket of my purse. It makes it convenient to switch from a handbag to a clutch as well.

Victoria Secret's Mints, 5 Sugar-free Gum in Cobalt, and EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint.
Can never have too much mint for fresh breath and this is my favorite flavor of all the EOS balms.

Sephora Makeup Bag, H & M Collapsible Hair Brush, Tissues, Forever 21 Heart Mirror, Bliss Hand Cream, Forever 21 Blotting Papers, Nail Polish Remover Pad, Yes to Cucumbers Travel Size Facial Towelettes, Floss Picks (in mints container), Crest Travel Size Mouth Wash, Nivea Cream, Pill Box (Advil and Papaya Enzymes), Chanel Lipgloss in Giggle, Purel Hand Sanitizer, Trial Size Daisy Eau So Fresh Perfume, MAC Lipstick in Viva Glam V and Lovelorn, MAC Eye Kohl in Feline, NARS Duo in Orgasm Blush and Laguna Bronzer, Mini Manicure Set, Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Kit and Essence of Beauty Blush Brush.

Clearly I carry just about everything in this roomy makeup bag. It holds all of my day-to-day essentials so I always have everything on hand. And it fits perfectly on almost all of my handbags.

I hate having a mess in my bag because there's nothing worse than having to dig through a large handbag trying to find your keys or phone. So I like to keep everything minimal and organized.

What's in your bag?

{Product Review} Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Set

Although I usually stick to my fool-proof MAC Studio Finish Concealer, I've been on the hunt for a new one and have been trying out different drugstore products to find my new holy grail concealer.

I've always been a fan of Sonia Kashuk makeup brushes, but I have never actually tried any of the makeup products. So I was intrigued when I found the concealer palette. The Hidden Agenda Concealer Set has two concealer shades, perfect for transition from summer to winter; a neutralizer, which contains a mixture of green and a nude concealer so that it doesn't require layers of concealer; and a translucent powder to set the concealer, especially when used under the eye area.

The concealers and neutralizers are extremely creamy and easy to blend. They are very pigmented so a small amount is needed to cover dark eye circles and blemishes. I have been sticking with the lightest shade for under the eyes before foundation, then applying my foundation normally and then setting with the translucent powder so that it lasts all day. The powder is very light and is finely milled so that it allows for easy blending and never looks like it's caked on.

The neutralizer is great for blemishes because the green tint helps disguise any redness on the skin.
Because it is only tinted green with a nude shade it doesn't require a layer of concealer over it like most neutralizers do, so your blemishes never look obvious with makeup layered on.

Light Concealer, Medium Concealer, Neutralizer, Translucent Powder

Overall, this concealer palette is great because it houses four products in one sleek compact. The packaging is great on this palette and I love the magnetic closure. It is also the perfect size to throw in your purse for on the go touchups.

The Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Set can be found at Target for $9.99.

{DIY Beauty} Homemade Body Scrub

Want healthy, glowing skin? Try this simple homemade body scrub. Not only is it incredibly easy to make, but also much more affordable than majority of the body scrubs available on the market. Sea salt, olive olive and a dash of lemon zest is all you need to create the perfect scrub. The sea salt helps to slough off any dead skin (perfect for exfoliating any leftover tanner), olive oil moisturizes and soothes the skin leaving you glowing, and the lemon just adds a bit of freshness.

Why not give it a go? It will leave your skin looking and feeling irresistible!

{Luxe for Less} Baubles and Jewels

What girl doesn't love gorgeous jewelry? But let's be realistic, not everyone can afford magnificent baubles like those featured on the left. Luckily, there are beautiful replicas and countless costume jewels to choose from such as those on the right. And with my love for jewelry, I may need to upgrade my jewelry box to the tall 7-drawer mirrored chest like the one above. Such a glamorous way to store my baubles. I love getting all dolled up and layering on the accessories, even when I have no place to go. Sometimes it's the little things that make me smile.

{DIY Project} Replica Kate Spade "Cloverdale" Rose Vase

{Image: Bedroom of Michelle Adams, founder of Lonny Magazine}

I instantly fell in love with the Kate Spade Cloverdale Rose Vase and the chic, playful twist is added to any room. The problem was not only being out of my price range, but also that it was no longer available. So I put my craft skills to use and made my own (actually, no skills required!)

{Image: Kate Spade Cloverdale Rose Vase}

{The Tools}

Metallic Gold Acrylic Paint
Rose Vase
Paint Brush
Sponge Brush
Circle stencil

I opted for larger polka dots so that I wouldn't have to paint as many and they would be more visible from a distance. It also took about five or six coats to get somewhat of an opaque coverage.

Add some pretty flowers, and voila! An instant pick-me-up that looks great in any room. Not bad for under $6!

You can get the rose vase for around $3 at Michael's Craft Stores or at your local thrift stores.
